We went to Shanghai a few weekends ago. Not our first visit, but our first visit overnight. We stayed in a nice hotel on East Nanjing road - right in the centre of things. Did the touristy thing, went to the Bund, walked around the mall at night and generally soaked up the atmosphere. Despite the hectic pace, we both agreed that we definitely like Shanghai.
